Jamie Parr was born and raised in Natick; however she moved to Framingham in her twenties. Recently, Jamie felt the tug of her hometown and moved back to Natick with her husband to raise their now three children- twin infant girls and her pre-teen son.

While in Framingham, Jamie was actively involved as a Town Meeting member and served as Vice President of the Parent Teacher Organization at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School for 3 years. Jamie hopes to continue her service to town government through a position as the Town Clerk for the Town of Natick.

Currently, Jamie works for the South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) and has done so for the past 10 years. She is eager to bring the skills, knowledge and experience she has gained to the Town of Natick. As a SMOC employee, Jamie has successfully led a team of individuals who she has had to train and supervise. She has to keep accurate records and is held accountable to the state of Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD). Jamie is also charged with the task of managing multi-million dollar budgets granted to the energy conservation department that provides assistance to the low-income population. Jamie has excellent customer service skills as she deals with the people of the community on a daily basis with a friendly and professional demeanor.

If elected Town Clerk of Natick, Jamie plans to uphold the laws and regulations to the fullest extent as put forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She hopes to find new ways to increase voter participation in Natick for all elections. Jamie would like to look into improving the clerk’s portion of the town website and finding grants to rebind the vital statistics and index books. Jamie has studied and continues to study the complex role of the town clerk and all the duties associated with it which she will fulfill to the best of her abilities.
